Mr Jairo David Estrada Barrios
Ambassador at Republic of Guatemala to the Republic of Turkey
Ambassador Estrada Barrios, has a degree in Business Administration with a Master's degree and specialization studies in public and citizen security issues. Additionally, he has a Master's degree in Business Administration with a major in Financial Management.
He began his diplomatic career in 2003, when he served as Consul of Guatemala in Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, Mexico; where in addition to representing the diplomatic interests of Guatemala in that country, he also provided support to the Guatemalan agricultural and transit workers.
From November 2017 to December 2019, he worked as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the Commercial and Economic Diplomacy, Tourism Diplomacy and International Cooperation, in addition to the academic affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With more than 20 years of experience in the public service, also at the corporate level in the private sector has allowed him to have an effective coordination with national and international institutions, to reach agreements in areas of interest of the parties.
