Mr Lütfü Savaş
Mayor at Hatay Metropolitan CityLütfü Savaş was elected as the Mayor of Antakya in the local elections held in 2009 and started his active political life.
In the 2014 local elections, Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Savaş assumed the role of Metropolitan Municipality for the second time in the 2019 elections.
Lütfü Savaş implemented very comprehensive infrastructure and superstructure projects in Hatay, and carried out many services in education, arts, sports, social and environments.
In 2017, Savaş brought Hatay the host of the EXPO 2021 organization and the title of UNESCO World Gastronomy City to the city.
