Extension Tour introduces the distinctive character of northern
Japan through Sapporo and Otaru before continuing to the onsen landscapes of
Hakone. Hokkaido's open spaces, regional culture, culinary identity and relaxed
urban atmosphere create a refreshing contrast to Japan's better-known central
routes, while Hakone adds volcanic scenery, Lake Ashi and the traditional
hot-spring experience that many international travellers associate with Japan.
For tourism agency owners, this combination creates a highly
attractive product for repeat Japan visitors, seasonal travellers, food and
culture enthusiasts, incentive groups and clients looking for an alternative to
the conventional Golden Route. First-hand exposure to Sapporo, Otaru and Hakone
enables agents to assess how northern Japan can be packaged, promoted and
connected with Tokyo, while identifying the experiences that make Hokkaido
commercially compelling in international markets.
With domestic flights, private transfers, guided sightseeing,
varied dining experiences and Halal-friendly arrangements, the program offers a
practical and professionally structured model for future client itineraries.
Participants gain both a memorable regional experience and the product
knowledge required to introduce a differentiated Japan package to their
customers. This extension is particularly valuable for agencies seeking to
broaden their Japan sales beyond the most frequently promoted destinations.
Route : Tokyo, Sapporo, Otaru, Hokkaido, Shizuoka, Hakone & Tokyo
